Gonna keep this one short. Saturday's big game was a terrible disappointment. You can guess that the Utes lost, but it was also just an ugly and poorly played game. The Ute offense was incompetent, filled with worthless trickery and entirely lacking what had brought us success in the previous 7 games (Mack and the running game). I think the defense did a great job (except for one obvious mistake) considering that the offense couldn't get anything done. The Utes did manage to put together one decent run and scored, but just like last year they left the cougars just enough time to make something happen. Also like last year the cougars were generously aided in their last drive by some bogus officiating. Once again the PI being their weapon of choice. The unnecessary roughness call was slightly less than debatable, but the PI was ridiculously bad (the replay clearly shows Reed pulling Stanford, who has great position, into him). Still all this shouldn't matter since the Utes had them at 4 and 18 and couldn't get it done. Terribly bad. Terrible day. Nothing continues to be right in the world for at least another year.

I figured that given Collie's comments, going against byu in any format incurs the wrath of a greater power, and I would never want to do that, perfect grammer aside. How could my team ever compete against the righteous (does that mean the ref's eyes were smitten on that PI? How does that work?)
