My research revolves around dog genetics and a friend sent me this heads up on dogs in the Australian news. These aren’t just regular dogs, okay, they’re super dogs. And the only things missing on these guys are capes. In fact they are "genetically superior, crime-fighting machines". Ladies and gentlemen, the days of dreaming of super cop dogs like Hooch and K-9 are finally over. Of course in the arms race to constantly be developing better work dogs where do we draw the line? We know that in the computer world the need to make faster more powerful computers leads to Skynet coming online and we all know how that ends. Could this be less or even more disastrous? Or what happens if the criminals start a breeding program of their own to combat the super dogs? My science doesn't seem so silly any more does it?

As you will recall, as a fan of the simpsons, such a dog once made an appearance on the show. His first act, was to gather a basket of fruit for his new family.
When these super dogs rule the Earth maybe then they will have to pick up our poop.
