Just before heading home we had a few hours to kill in Lima. Stephen's cousin, Julio, came and picked up us at the airport and showed us around. We first experienced Lima traffic for a good little bit. You never believe that any of those drivers have any idea what they are doing, but somehow it works. Julio took us to Miraflores, which from what I can tell is a pretty nice part of the city. Located right by the beach.
It was a beautiful beach and if you look closely you can even see that there were surfers out there taken advantage of the overcast day.
We met with a friend Alex and had some dinner at a pretty nice restaurant. Everything worked out really nicely. Glad I got to at least sample a bit of Lima.
