Exuberance for athletes leaving on LDS missions

Coaching in Utah brings with it a special challenge; that of having some of your players leave for 2 year LDS missions. Coach Boylen is pretty new to Utah, but I am glad to see that he understands the commitment that these men feel for their faith and that he can be supportive of it. He almost sounds like Majerus here. This was taken from the Salt Lake Tribune Utah Basketball blog:

And speaking of LDS Church missions ... forward Josh Sharp is going to serve his in Houston -- Boylen's old stomping ground with the NBA's Rockets -- and is scheduled to depart in early May. “He's pumped,” Boylen said, smiling. “Good food in Houston, too -- a little barbeque, a little Mexican food. We're gonna get some meat on his ass. He's not going somewhere where he doesn't like the food, so I think it's great.

Blessings from missions come in all forms including food and extra weight to help you box out and post up down low.
