Movie Review "9"

Whats the deal with post-apocalyptic worlds and movies? I mean post-apocalyptic worlds are featured in dozens of movies. Whats the draw? Is it the gray tones? The dirt and ruins? The lack of life? The struggle to survive? Lots of appealing choices there. If thats not enough these drab worlds generally feature a variety of denizens...that want to kill us for some reason or another. Everything from zombies or killer robots to mutants or aliens. Thats all pretty typical, but have you ever seen one featuring sentient dolls? No? Well boy I've got the movie for you! Technically I think the dolls here are robots, but they have souls so thats something right? It's not a bad little flick. Pretty typical post-apocalyptic stuff, but with no humans, just the human-like dolls. Tim Burton helped produce it with an all-star voice cast including Frodo, Cal Naughton Jr. (Mike Honcho), George McFly, and one of Jerkolas' all time favorite Hollywood ladies. It is a cartoon, but if you want to try and impress others with your movie choice just mention that it was developed from an award winning animated short film. BAM! Thats art cred right there!
