The first port that we visited in Alaska was Juneau. This is what it looked like when we got off the boat.
Its a pretty neat town. Its got these guys:
And the Red Dog Saloon, famous for its sawdust covered floors and its dancing girls on the tables...the sawdust is still there.
The main attraction in Juneau is the Mendenhall Glacier a little bit outside of town.
I can't stand the coach, but the Mendenhall Glacier is pretty impressive.
You see that in the background? Its a waterfall and you can get closer.
And it gives a closer view of the glacier and the ice that has broken off of it.
Juneau was pretty neat. It definitely had the best shops. One dynamite toy shop at least. I could've stayed there a bit longer. The toys were all right, but the girl working behind the counter, well, she sure was a fine employee.
