Game 7

The Utes faced another MWC opponent today and played San Diego State in Salt Lake. The Utes were 0-2 in MWC conference coming into this game, but they finally got a MWC win by beating the Aztecs 23-7 (this is again pretty close to Jarvis' prediction of 27-14). I listened to the game on the internet radio. Its almost like being there! Sounds like the Utes really dominated with 512 yards of total offense compared to SDSU's 211. Darrell Mack racked up 131 yards and Johnson threw for over 200 yards. Nevertheless the Utes struggled in crucial spots and had to settle for 3 FGs including a Louis Sakoda career long of 51 yards (he almost threw for a first down which maybe could have become a TD, except apparently he threw just about the ugliest pass ever on a fake FG attempt) . Still a win is a win. The Utes are building some momentum. Lets hope their schizophrenia doesn't return.

Argentina also won their first World Cup qualifier against Chile, 2-0. Both goals were scored by Riquelme on free kicks. Now if the cougars will just lose and the Huskies win it will be a perfect sports weekend.
